Parent Roles - Team Compliance

All parent roles require a valid Working With Children Check (WWCC). Some roles require other qualifications, e.g. First Aid etc. The details of requirements for all roles can be found here.

SMJFL use Oho (web based system) to report on compliance* and to ensure that all volunteer qualifications are valid.

Once you establish who your parent helpers are, please follow these steps to verify that they are compliant:

  • Provide details of your parent volunteers to the Child Safety Officer (CSO). Include their full name, email address (must be unique to the individual) and what role they will be performing. If you have their WWCC card number, please provide this also.
  • The CSO will add the volunteers to Everproof and alert you when this is done.
  • Everproof sends an email to the volunteers with a link to complete the set up of their account. You may need to alert your parents that they will need to claim their account when prompted.
  • The volunteers then add their WWCC details and any other required qualifications.
  • The CSO then adds the roles requested for the volunteer, checks compliance and communicates the outcome, plus any further action required, back to you.
  • The CSO regularly reports back to you on the status of your team, including the list of all compliant volunteers in your team. You must ensure only these volunteers are assigned roles on game day.

* Using non-compliant volunteers can result in sanctions imposed by the SMJFL, including deduction of points from teams and fines to the club.
